University Heights is a first suburb of Cleveland full of pre-war and mid-century homes, 10 minutes away from the 271 corridor, and 10 minutes away from University Circle (the medical, scientific, and cultural hub of northeast Ohio). UH is a young community, a walkable community, ...Read More
a diverse community, and family friendly. We have great public and private school options. We have strong Jewish and Catholic communities. We have a Jesuit university, John Carroll University. We have all the perks of a college community with few of the headaches.
The city hosts one of the biggest and oldest Memorial Day parades around. Newer events include Fall Fest and Juneteenth celebration (Crayzie Bone headlined a free show last year). The city has its own symphonic band, and has bands all summer long at The Walt (the community park).
Best of all are the people. Everyone really gets to know their neighbors in UH. Block parties are common, and the city blocks the street for them.
If moving to Greater Cleveland, give University Heights a look.

I love living in University Heights, Ohio and can't think of anywhere else that I would prefer to call home! This town is little in size but huge at heart and to me that completely makes all the difference!

mas time, a big parade for Halloween, and community wide garage sale in the spring and a family friendly celebration for the fourth of July. People here are really great too, they are friendly and helpful, even if you are just asking for directions!
The cost of living in this town isn't too bad and there are some jobs here or even more in Cleveland which is only about two miles away. We have some little shops downtown like a music store and an antique store where you can find all kinds of neat retro and old school relics!
Most of the restaurants here serve your classic American food complete with free coffee and homemade apple pie. Sometimes they have pecan too, which is my all time favorite!
