Family Living in Uniondale User Rating 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 14, 2018) Living in Uniondale, NY is close to everything and a quiet/ friendly place to live. We have many activities including a shopping mall that is about a 10-minute drive. We also have the option of public transportation that at times saves me money on the weekends. Unlike many small ...Read More cities, we have a lot of recreational outdoor activities such as hiking, swimming and more.

The schools are very good including the public schools as they have accelerated classes that are more challenging. The schools also have many clubs and sports activities that keep the kids busy. Some of the clubs include science, computers and language clubs. We also have many universities nearby.

The best thing about living in Uniondale is the free activities that the public library offers. There are youth programs that keep the kids focused and busy. There's not much nightlife here, but as I mentioned we are not that far from other big cities. Overall Uniondale is a family oriented city. Read Less
