Town 'n' Country: Peaceful Beaches and Nearby Attractions 4 rating By Anonymous ( Aug 03, 2010) I just got back from a great vacation in Town ‘n' Country, Florida, with my husband. We rented a vacation home while we there, instead of staying in a B&B or hotel, which was a great decision. Town ‘n' Country is just on the outskirts of Tampa (7 miles), so there was plenty to do, although you really need a car to get anywhere. If we had flown we would have needed to rent one.

My husband loves to fish, and Town ‘n' Country had plenty of opportunities for him to cast a line. He really enjoyed that, and we both had a blast when we spent the day at nearby Busch Gardens.

We also had some great meals at various restaurants while we were there. Black Beans Cuban Bar and Grill was fun, and Tokyo Restaurant had great Chinese and Japanese dishes.

On the last day, we just enjoyed the beautiful beaches. Our favorite was Pass-a-Grille, which was the least commercialized. We had a great time reading under our umbrellas and listening to the surf. Read Less
