Great Town with Good Vibes User Rating 4 rating By Anonymous ( Apr 23, 2018) I really enjoy living in Tonawanda NY, it is a beautiful small town with a great community. The crime rate is low and the people are very friendly. I have a small child and the parks are great for him to play when the weather is good. The cost of living is relatively low for the ...Read More surrounding areas and there are plenty of places to find work in town.

The median home price is between 100-200k, making it a great place to buy your fist home. In past few years many startups and new companies have moved to town offering a great atmosphere for transferring professionals or people looking to relocate. Rent is also affordable and there are many apartment buildings and single family units available throughout the year.

Tonawanda has been a great place to live, I highly recommend it for a young professional looking for a small town atmosphere. I have enjoyed the welcoming mentality of my neighbors and people whom i have met in town. If you’re looking for a great coffee and good vibes, i recommend Billygans Cafe on Niagara Street. Hope to see you around town!

Quaint And Cozy User Rating 4 rating By Anonymous ( Apr 20, 2018) I moved to Tonawanda, NY about six years ago from Nashville, TN. This is a town that is simple in design with friendly people at every turn. The houses are quaint, and there are few large apartment complexes, something that gives the city its charm. The home that I have now is a ...Read More comfortable three-bedroom home with a full front porch and large back yard. I am able to walk in town on the beautifully landscaped sidewalks, greeting the other people in the community who like to walk to work or who like to walk from one store to another.

Since there are so many families in the area, it would be feasible to think that there are numerous activities for them to do in the city. While there are several attractions, like Adventure Landing and the Bowling Center, there are more attractions for adults than that would be for children.

Adventure Landing is a place I like to go to play miniature golf. There are a few different courses inside, and there are some arcade games. Avoid going on the weekend, especially if it's raining, because it can get very crowded. The Bowling Center is another place I like to go at night. There are leagues in the summer for children, but it's more of a place to go if you have nothing else to do in town.

There are very few restaurants, and the ones that are in the city are more of the fast food type. I don't like this as I enjoy the larger restaurants. Most of the shopping centers are locally owned. This isn't a bad thing as many of the things I have purchased have been from people who make things from home or from a smaller business.
