Suburban Living Near Cleveland Without Compromise User Rating 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) Tallmadge, Ohio is considered to be a far south suburb of Cleveland though it is located just outside of Akron. Tallmadge is an average small town with rural charms yet also has conveniences of the city being that it is centrally located. The city's shopping, dining and nightlife scene is decent, though most restaurants and bars located within the city are franchises. This means that if you're looking for more unique and diverse options, you'll be traveling a short distance to Akron, or about an hour to Cleveland.

The overall weather in Tallmadge is comparable to the rest of Ohio and the Midwest. The winters can be snowy and cold, and the summers are humid and hot. It may be noteworthy to potential homeowners as well that due to Tallmadge being so close to tornado alley, residents are subjected to potential tornadoes during the spring and summer months which may increase homeowners insurance rates.
