We have lived in South Valley (S. of Seneca Turnpike, East of Salina St.) for 3 years. This is the best neighborhood we have experienced in Syracuse, including Outer Comstock, Outer University and Westcott. The (estimated) stats for crime are completely wrong, as can be verified ...Read More
at https://spotcrime.com/ny/syracuse. Crime drops off to almost nothing south of Seneca Turnpike, which is the northern border of South Valley. Housing stock is very good and affordable, shopping is convenient, and parks are available. The only downside is the schools, which are generally no worse than the rest of the city, and there is a charter school and Faith Heritage.
