Sylvania Ohio: Tree City USA User Rating 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) I experienced a dynamic adventure while living in Sylvania Ohio. The city is an annex of Lucas County Ohio. Sylvania Ohio is close to Toledo and is a sister city to Woodstock, Ontario Canada. The quaint town has a stock of employment possibilities, and housing is moderate. The co ...Read More st of living can be somewhat expensive due to state taxes. I enjoy the weather in Sylvania, it is always refreshingly mild. Sylvania has a top-notch school system. It houses public and private education, along with Lourdes University. The community is always safe, my family and I have been living there for about 5 years without incident.

Some of the best areas in Sylvania Ohio surround Pacesetter Park, which encompasses a baseball field, lacrosse, baseball, soccer, ice skating, ice hockey, and swimming to name a few. Sylvania is a well-manicured city graced with a variety of greenery. The city hosts annual events such as the Marathon Classic, which is sponsored by LPGA Tour and has been hosted since 1989. Overall, Sylvania is a great place for newcomers with families as well as single adults. Read Less
