Employment is low and crime has risen as jobs have become harder to find. Fewer kids are graduating high school and going on to college. The cost of li ...Read More ving is low and there is plenty of shopping available in a town of about 28,000 residents.

Since we have hilly terrain and not far from the Great Smoky Mountain range, our temperatures are seasonal and mild. It can become a bit humid in the summertime, but we have good breezes. Fort Dobbs offers historical events throughout the year. Its history goes back to before the Revolutionary War and reenactments take place on the grounds. In the fall, it is fun to wander through the Regal Corn Maze located on Bell Farm Road. Zootastic Park is a fun place to visit for the whole family. Charlotte is just down the road about an hour or so. Read Less
