Not a good place to live User Rating 1 rating By Anonymous ( Jun 21, 2021) Living in Spartanburg is a challenge unless you have your own transportation. If you do not and have to walk everywhere be prepared to walk on grass or on the side of the road with traffic coming both ways having to be on guard to make sure that you do not get hit by a vehicle. ...Read More There is transport but, you have to walk miles to get to the bus stop and the hours of transport is very limited in hours of the day.
Violent crime is up, I would not feel safe walking at night. The home prices are out of the park, If you do have a vehicle, and park it in the apt complex in which you reside, be prepared for a tow truck to tow it off because they can and the city will do nothing about it. I would never recommend Spartanburg as a place to live. Read Less

If hiking and outdoor adventures are more your thing, Spartanburg is great for that, too! You visit Croft State Park, Hatcher Garden and Woodland Preserve, and the Historical Walnut Grove Plantation.

If your family is one with kids, Spartanburg has plenty of great schools. District 7 has some of the best around! A family with kids is a family that needs a good house! Spartanburg has plenty of real estate. Houses are typically mid-sized and rang in style from rang to craftsman. Most houses are well under the 300,000 dollar range, making Spartanburg real estate very affordable! Read Less
