Great Schools and Not Much Else User Rating 3 rating By Anonymous ( May 10, 2018) I've lived in Solon, Ohio for a little over a year now. Solon is a beautiful city that has a beautiful downtown area. Solon gives you the small town vibe, but it's not too far away from both Akron, and Cleveland. My favorite part of living in Solon is the Market District store in ...Read More the center of the town. It is an extremely large grocery store that contains almost anything you can think of. Outside of that, there's not much for a single young professional.

Solon is famous for being the number one school district in the state of Ohio. Due to this, rent here is very high. Although the schools are great, there isn't much else in Solon for someone that doesn't have a family. Most restaurants close around 9 pm, therefore it is difficult to find something to do at night and the weekends. It's also an expensive taxi ride if you wanted to party downtown in Cleveland or Akron. Read Less
