Be careful if considering moving to Smooth rock falls,yes houses are cheaper but for a reason. In town you have a grocery store, convenience store, pharmacy and hardware but the prices in town are double and triple compared to neighboring towns ie bag of milk is $12,small can of ...Read More
soup is $5,$16 for a case of pop. The only reasonable priced store is the pharmacy but if the cashier doesn't know you or you have an English accent you're in for a cold reception.There are two restaurants which have sub par food but if you like gossip then those are the places to be.Local baker does make delicious breads and treats though.If you miss out on that they do have a monthly karaoke at the Legion where you can grab a drink,sing,more gossip,and watch the local "handyman" puff out his chest. There is a "fitness center" which is run by a woman who is more focused on pushing this carnivore diet and her boyfriend who has been in trouble for terrorizing women. Highway 11 closes almost 3 times a week during winter due to weather and transports.
