Very nice but also very expensive and lots of attractions for all 5 rating By normal man ( Dec 29, 2015) schaumburg is a very nice place.but it is also very expensive.if you have the money it is great .there is lots to do there. lots of resteraunts and overall a very nice place to live. Schaumburg, IL: A Surprisingly Fun Place to Visit 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( Jul 29, 2010) My husband and I spent three days in April 2010 visiting Schaumburg, IL. This city/town is very close to Chicago (about 30 miles) and there are many things to see and do there. We stayed at Renaissance Schaumburg hotel and convention Center. This hotel was extremely nice for the ...Read More modest amount of money they charge per night.

One of our favorite things that we did on the trip to Schaumburg was visit Medieval times. This place was a little pricy, but worth every penny. My husband and I had a great time eating our dinner while we watched the medieval tournament. We actually felt like we were in an 11th century castle when we were visiting this place.

The second day of our trip in Schaumburg we went shopping at the Woodfield Shopping Center. This is a three story shopping center that has all different kinds of stores in it. Since I love shopping I loved this place. My husband didn't love the mall, but didn't mind spending most of the day there with me. The second night of our trip my husband and I went to the Chicago Improv. This was a great comedy club that we both enjoyed.

We had a great time visiting Schaumburg, IL, but next time we visit we will allow more time to see more of the area. Read Less
