After moving to Sanford, FL about 10 years ago, I wasn't sure how it would accommodate my busy lifestyle. Sanford is a port city, and I happened to find a home that is right along the shore, so I hear a lot of the boats during the day. This is something that is bothersome, but th ...Read More
ere are some things that I like about living in the city. Those who are considering a move to the area should avoid getting a home right near the water. There is a charming district that has large houses, but I have noticed that most of the housing in the city is apartments.
Sanford is trying to build up its name, and its trying to manifest itself into a blossoming city that has businesses and restaurants. While this is a good choice to make, the city really isn't big enough to have all of the businesses that it wants. One of my favorite things to do is go to 1 Scuba and Snorkeling. This is a relaxing activity that I try to do as much as possible. There are guided tours as well as individual sessions that you can purchase. I love being in the water with all of the animals as they swim along with you.
When I want to go out at night, one of the only places that I have seen is The Alley. It's as close to a nightclub as I have found. The music is a little on the blues side, but the food and drinks are amazing. It is dark inside, but the atmosphere makes up for the dim setting. There are a lot of things to do in Sanford, but many of them are activities that require you to spend a few hours in order to have any kind of experience at all.
