Great Family-Friendly Area User Rating 5 rating By areavibesuser111 ( Jul 14, 2014) Safety Harbor is a wonderful place to live. It's very family-oriented. The downtown area is absolutely charming, and there is a real sense of community pride here.

...Read More n. My kids can ride their bikes downtown and grab an ice cream cone or hang out safely with their friends. The library and rec department always have something going on for everyone from tots to retirees.

The people of Safety Harbor are extremely friendly. Although many are affluent, they aren't snobs.

Safety Harbor is right on Tampa Bay, which means it gets great breezes and has lots of fun things to do on the water - kayaking, boating, SUP, sailing, etc.

Safety Harbor is a welcome respite from the crazy traffic of Pinellas County, but it's very close to all the "big city" ammenities. There is a mall just ten minutes away, the Gulf beaches are about 20 minutes away. Downtown Tampa or St. Pete are just 30 minutes away.

I grew up in the Tampa Bay Area, and have lived all over there ... Town and Country, Carrollwood, Westchase, etc. Safety Harbor is the BEST, hands-down. Read Less
