An Excellent Choice of Suburbs User Rating 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) Prospect Heights, Illinois is one of Chicago's northwest suburbs. It is home to an excellent public school system with a low student to teacher ratio that is perfect for learning young minds as it gives adequate attention to each student. Prospect Heights is a safe community with ...Read More a competent and well-trained police force that keeps the community aware of crime rates and how to stay safe. Employment prospects are good with several corporate centers being located nearby, and the housing market is fair with reasonably priced homes. The downside though is that the property taxes tend to be quite high for the area.

The shopping, dining and nightlife in Prospect Heights itself is average. Most of the restaurants are franchises. However, Prospect Heights is located just minutes away from more vibrant suburbs that have more diverse and unique options when it comes to these things, and is even located near Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg which is one of the largest malls in America.

Overall, Prospect Heights is a wonderful option for those looking to raise a family, and an excellent option as well for anyone looking to settle down in a safe community that doesn't compromise on the conveniences of living in the city. Read Less
