Whether you're looking for outdoor attractions or you want to learn more about the history of the city, here are a few things you can plan with your friends and family.

H ...Read More udson State Historic Park is a great place to take a stroll, and there's a long walkway on site that makes for a great outdoor workout. You can also Locust Grove Estate, which is a nature preserve and museum that teaches you more about the history of Poughkeepsie and surrounding areas. Sprout Creek Farm is another family-friendly location you can take advantage of if you want to see wild animals up close and in a safe environment.

If you want to see a play or opera, you can visit Bardavon Opera House, which offers quality seating the the opportunity to hear a variety of live music. The location also has a rich history and intricate architecture. Read Less
