Plano is the Home of the Reapers User Rating 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 28, 2018) I've been living in Plano Illinois for the last 4 years and have enjoyed the small-town atmosphere and unique culture in this very neighborly and friendly town with my two kids and wife. Plano has all the shops, restaurants, and recreational amenities needed to enjoy a simple lif ...Read More e without a lot of hustle and bustle that is the norm in bigger metropolitan cities. Plano is also only 70 miles away from Chicago if you want to enjoy a bigger city and some of the amenities located there. The school system in Plano is decent but there are too many different elementary schools for my kids to go through for the different grades.


The best areas in Plano is around Cedardell Golf Club where there are smaller communities on the outskirts of Foley Park where families can purchase houses that are reasonably priced and live around very friendly neighbors that look out for one another. There is very little crime in Plano but you always have different small town negative activities that happen from time to time but nothing violent. There are not a lot of job opportunities in Plano but you can always start a small business and enjoy a very good living here. If you're looking to move to Illinois and want to stay on the outskirts of Chicago I recommend Plano. Read Less
