, the schools are bad, no jobs, no decent housing, even the people are not friendly and seem to be depressed all the time. I've been living in Pell City for just about a year now, and I will not be staying much longer. This is definitely not one of the best areas in the lovely state of Alabama.
It's kind of a shame that this isn't a nicer place to live because there are some fairly decent attractions and things to do close by. There's DeSoto Caverns, the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Noccalula Falls Park and Campgrounds, and the Birmingham Zoo, which is an absolutely amazing place to visit! I highly recommend that. But as for a living here or staying very long at all, sorry but I can't recommend that.
