When I was younger, I didn't really appreciate it that much. Now that I'm older, I realize I live far away from a place I'd really like to be. Things are affordable and there is enough to do. Generally safe. The only thing I dislike about NE Ohio in general is the terrible winter ...Read More

If you like bars, pizza places and churches this is your place. I love it here, people are nice, tons of neighborhood bars & hardly any crime. Within a 15 min drive of downtown Cleveland and every surrounding suburb offers different things. Lived here my whole life and don’t ...Read More

A bunch of over glorified hillbillies with a few extra dollars. Not unlike most other Cleveland suburbs—filled with dying businesses— houses have no character as do MOST of the residents have no character either. Unfriendly place filled with clones -lol. If you talk outside ...Read More
on the phone you better whisper as your neighbors have nothing going on but to listen to you. You might even make the papers if you talk too loud—lol

Drew Carey's version of Parma in his hit show is very near to real life in Parma. We lived there with our three small children for several years in the late '90s. There is a real sense of community within the neighborhoods in Parma and that carries over into the school system. It ...Read More
's a great place to raise a family. We loved a lot of things about Parma. Being so close to downtown was one of the greatest benefits. Parma is also only minutes from The Cleveland Zoo. We've lived all around the country and have not found another zoo that even comes close to this one. There are also smaller attractions like Memphis Kiddie Park and trips to Honey Hut Ice Cream, the best ice cream east of the Mississippi.
The city of Parma isn't really a hot spot for night life. But that's one of the things that makes it such a great place for young families. If you want to party, you'll have to head downtown. But again, that's so close by and there's great public transportation straight into downtown Cleveland.
I look back on our time in Parma with fond memories. It's a wholesome city that has all the benefits of a nearby downtown but with all the charm and character you'd hope to find in suburbia.
