Olathe, KS - Passport to Adventure User Rating 3 rating By Anonymous ( Jul 06, 2010) I was excited about my trip to Olathe due to the fact that I love the outdoors, so Passport To Adventure was a great experience for me. There are biking and hiking trails and you are likely to come across snakes, owls and some deer. There is also a great golf course if you are not the nature type but love the outdoors.

The neighborhoods in Olathe are very pretty with greenery and trees as far as the eye can see. There are a few interesting built-in ponds with fish in them, something I had never seen before in any city. The communities are well groomed but heavily advertised, as the town is mostly catholic.

There were not many upscale restaurants in the city of Olathe but 54th Street Grill and Bar had great food that was cooked to perfection. I always love going to eat at Cracker Barrel, and the one in Olathe did not disappoint me. I am not a burger person but I did enjoy dining at Five Guys Famous Burgers and Fries. They had very tasty chicken sandwiches and malts. Orlando's Nite Club is the most popular club to go to. The drinks were priced a little high for me. The music was good but the dance floor was a little too small.

The Great Mall of The Great Plains is a huge mall in Olathe, and it has pretty much every store you could want. I was surprised not to see a playground for children, but sometimes you can't complain about the little things. Overall, I really enjoyed myself. Read Less
