Northbrook, a Storybook Life 5 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) I love living in Northbrook! My husband and I moved here from New York when he got transferred to the Chicago office. This Northbrook was the perfect option for us because we needed to be close to the city but still wanted to raise our kids in an upstanding community. Our house w ...Read More as quite expensive in comparison to houses in other areas but it was worth it because the town beautifully maintained with an excellent community. I can't imagine living anywhere else.

I have two children, an eight-year-old in private school and a teenager in public school; both of my children are receiving an excellent education. My husband's favorite aspects of Northbrook are the four golf courses and the cleanliness of the downtown area. Personally, my favorite thing about Northbrook is the array of flowers that can be seen throughout the town during springtime. The winters can be extremely cold but the scenery during the warmer months make up for it. Read Less
