North Miami Beach, FL: The Older Generation 4 rating By Anonymous ( Aug 18, 2015) It's true what they say about the older generation going to Florida to retire. I moved to North Miami Beach about two years ago because of a job transfer. The area is lovely, but I have never seen so many older individuals in my life in one place. This isn't a bad thing as my nei ...Read More ghborhood is quiet, and the people are friendly. I can walk down the sidewalk and wave to those sitting on their porches. This is the kind of area I like to be in, but there should be a few more attractions for the younger crowd. The beach access is nice, though.

One of my favorite places to go is the Blue Moon Outdoor Center. The water off the beach is beautiful, and there are may activities to do, such as canoeing and swimming. This is a place to go when you have had a stressful day as you can paddle along the water at your own pace. There are many activities that involve water, which is something I like as swimming is a favorite hobby. I've noticed that there are several private tours offered through the city. These tours involve visiting some of the historical landmarks and seeing where some of the celebrities live that call Miami Beach home.

Bermuda Bar and Grill is a place I like to visit when I want to get a good meal. It's one of the places where there are people my age. The food is delicious, and there are often bands that play on the weekends. It's advised to go when there isn't a major sporting event taking place as it can get crowded very quickly. Read Less
