Summers are usually hot and sticky and can certainly at times be discomforting. The city pulls in a natural breeze that cools the town down. Occasional thunderstorms and scattered showers is an added benefit as well.

There are several can't miss attractions and amenities in the city. However, the area is mainly favored for the state parks and historic museums. One will also enjoy the local libraries, post offices, grocery stores, food & drink, aquariums, local churches, theatres and many other exciting destinations to explore. This is a fantastic town for families, tourists and vacationiners. Read Less
