North Lauderdale Is A Southern Florida Paradise 4 rating By Anonymous ( Aug 18, 2015) I have lived in and around the North Launderdale, FL area for several years in the past and have to say it is a great alternative from living on the coast in this are of Eastern Florida. North Lauderdale lies roughly five miles West of the beach and five miles North West of Fort ...Read More Lauderdale, which is well known for it's sandy beaches, but also the prevalent crime rate that permeates the area. North Lauderdale has a much lower crime rate and is a great alternative to live at, especially if you are working in the Fort Lauderdale area. The homes are much nicer in this general area, yet you still have all of the great amenities that come along with Fort Lauderdale and the rest of the areas of South Beach.

You really cannot beat the nightlife and the restaurants in this area, as this part of South Florida is renowned worldwide for these aspects. There are picturesque beaches for miles and miles and the climate is conducive to laying out on the beach and hitting the waves throughout the entirety of the year. Keep in mind that this area does have some downfalls, as it is right in the path of a ton of hurricanes that routinely sweep through the East Coast. This is definitely something to keep in mind if you are considering buying property in the area, although you can always buy additional insurance to make sure you are covered in case something bad were to happen. There is no question that North Lauderdale is a great place to live, as you get to experience the great weather with a ton of things to do, yet the city is devoid of the high crime rate that occurs in the Fort Lauderdale area.
