All of my mid adult life as far as I can remember, I have lived in North Bethesda and even now for the foreseeable future I will continue to live in the same town. My experience with this town are worth the time I've spent here. North Bethesda is one of the towns in Maryland with ...Read More
a deep, and interesting history about itself, and many stories are told about it from how it started in the early 1920s. There are several sites that one can visit so as to familiarize yourself with this aspect of the town. Most of these are treated as heritage sites by the townspeople and they are deeply cherished. Famous personalities like Alexander Graham Bell have had their roots from North Bethesda.
North Bethesda is also a busy town and it hosts many offices and several headquarters of corporations from learning institutions to other enterprises. Most of these are located in the business district. One of the most famous however, is the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, its presence in our town has given it a somewhat protruding public opinion to visitors. The town is also very vibrant when it comes to the shopping culture and several expansive malls and recreation centers are available at the district. Of particular interest to me is the White Flint Mall and Federal Plaza. These are my favorite hangout zones, a place to relax, catch up with friends and generally unwind from day's work as you do your restocking of the house.
The town is easily connected by road and we do most of our travelling by road. I personally take 15 minutes to drive from my residential place to my workplace. Residential areas are quiet and offer serene environments for raising a family. I can't complain so much of insecurity and have personally not been a victim of any, but as it is also in most other areas, an isolated incident here and there has been the order here.
Infrastructure is good and life not expensive as per se when compared to the average US towns. And so for me, North Bethesda it is and will continue to be my town.
