Newport, Rhode Island: A Cultural and Historic Gem User Rating 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 10, 2018) When I lived in Newport, Rhode Island I felt it was culturally and historically enriching. I've strolled on the Cliff Walk by the beautiful old mansions and listened to a band at a jazz bar on Thames Street. I found the art and culinary scene there to be extremely eclectic.

...Read More re is plenty of shopping in Newport, Rhode Island. I visited the quaint establishments that line the small city streets often and always found something new. My friends always came to stay with me when we attending the annual Jazz Festival. During the summer the town really opens up to tourist and I've met some great people from all parts of the world.

Newport, Rhode Island provides plenty of employment opportunities within its city and is also close to the major City of Providence, Rhode Island. This area also offers a stable housing market. Salve Regina and Providence Colleges are both excellent colleges on the national scale. Read Less
