Newington, CT Is A Great Place To Raise A Family User Rating 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 14, 2018) In the year 2000, I moved back to Newington, CT after living in another nearby town for more than a decade. Located in the central section of the state, Newington maintains a real small town charm, while also offering a wide variety of retail, dining and service options.

The Newington public school system is very good, and the local employment picture is healthy, especially in the service sector.

There are many apartment and condo options available in Newington, but the rent prices can be steep. The best areas in Newington include the Stoddard Avenue and Maple Hill Avenue neighborhoods.
