Don't Judge a Book Before You've Looked at It's Cover User Rating 5 rating By Anonymous ( Sep 19, 2012) When my wife suggested that with our children beginning school within the next couple of years we should consider moving, I thought to myself, "that just may be a great idea." Being that the idea was not my own, I had no readily available locations in mind. It turns out that she' ...Read More d been offered an opportunity to head up a new office in Brooklyn. Born and raised in Minnesota, I was all for her taking the job, but I had no idea how I would feel about New York, or how New York would feel about me for that matter. As I'm sure you may have intuited, my apprehensions were pretty well unfounded. That was four years ago and I can easily say that moving to Williamsburg has turned out to be the best move possible for our family.

A Brooklyn borough, the Williamsburg community is a thriving and vibrant neighborhood filled with diversity and rich in culture. The school system is quality, allowing our girls to excell in an environment that is both challenging and rewarding. It seems that our move to Williamsburg couldn't have been timed any better, as a revitalization has enriched the neighborhood in every way. The relative safety of a borough with the density of Williamsburg is a welcome respite from the preconceived notions one may develop before realizing that Williamsburg is ideal.

The popularity of the area among the art community has helped the neighborhood to flourish with the addition of trendy retail stores and upscale housing. Everything one would expect to find when defining what makes a neighborhood an extension of your home is found here. Whether enjoying an outdoor movie during the summer, poetry readings year round, or an easy night at the bowling alley, it's virtually impossible to choose the wrong activity with so many at your doorstep. I readily encourage anyone visiting or seeking to relocate to give a nice hard look at the Williamsburg community. You won't regret it. Read Less
