Sunset Park, New York - Always Something To Do 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( Sep 19, 2012) Sunset park was the one place in Brooklyn where as a child there was always something to do. The park was the main attraction no matter what the weather. In summertime they have an Olympic sized pool that seemed to attract every New York City resident. The autumn was my favorite time to spend in Sunset Park because of the rich foliage, the hill, and various pick up games of football and baseball.

Sunset Park is far more than the park. The cemetery offers a wide variety of architecture and history. Many famous names can be found on the tombstones. Some of the crypts and tombstones are quite ornate and make are beautiful works of art. Take a stroll and enjoy the foliage and the sights that are offered on every corner.

One of the best aspects to living in Sunset Park is not just the ocean bordering it to the east, it is also that the rents in this region of New York City are very affordable. One will not break the bank living, and the apartments are roomy and offer lots of light. It also offers a wide variety of ethnicities as well. Whether one is seeking the Irish influences, the Chinese, Korean or Mexicans there are a wide range of peoples and cultures to learn about and enjoy.

This multicultural influence is also prevalent in the foods and restaurants of the area. Restaurants can cater to almost any desire or need one has. The grocery stores can also cater to a variety of tastes and desires that will let the individual take home their favorite ingredients and make their favorite foods for themselves.

Sunset Park simply has everything that one could want. Whether craving an empanada at a street vendor, delicious baked goods at the yearly bake off, or simply relaxing and enjoying some relaxing music for an afternoon, it is in Sunset Park. Its location also brags of lesser traffic jams and fewer vehicle mishaps than the rest of the city. An aftrenoon of shopping or an evening in the park, Sunset Park has it all.
