Queens Village New York, NY Neighborhood Review User Rating 4 rating By Anonymous ( Jun 09, 2014) Queens Village is located on the eastern side of Queens. I have been living in this middle class neighborhood since 3 years. It is modest; there are plenty of single as well as multifamily homes nearby including co-ops. This place has diversity that is not seen in its neighboring ...Read More towns. The trend is continuing to this day.

Queens Village is one of the safest and quietest places for families in NY. Residential areas are well-maintained, and the city department does a great job in responding to residents' concerns. Queens Village has its own charm in spite of being bordered by Braddock Avenue and Hillside to the north, Bellerose to the east, Cambria Heights to the south and Holliswood to the west. I like the way this city is connected to all these places in all directions through train and buses. From the place where I live, the Long Island Railroad Station is just a mile away. The train runs to Penn Station covering downtown Brooklyn in 30 minutes.

Take a stroll in the neighborhood or along the streets adorned with stores and restaurants. Walking here is just as relaxing as long you don't hurry in the busy traffic. You will love the wide range of cuisines that provide great ambience in unique settings. Combining this with a visit to the nearby Queens Library at Glendale is fun and enjoyable. Parking is abundant here any time of the day except on the commercial roads. There are plenty of good schools in the community as well, and most are ranked high in the official website for NY schools. Make sure you don't have anything planned while visiting museums and other attractions. Wherever you are in Queens Village, you are aware of how beautiful it looks from there. Since I have moved here for a short time, I have not gotten used to the south side of Queens Village. I really do think that this part of the town is pretty with overgrown trees and mountains. But I have to admit that since my move, a lot have changed. There is lots of potential for improvement and city department seems to get the idea of changing it for better. People are happy and feel secure in their own communities, and many have positive comments about the way it is enriching their lives. Read Less
