Douglastown-Little Neck, New York - My Take 4 rating By Anonymous ( Sep 25, 2012) I have lived in New York, New York for about a year now. There are many things I have learned to love about this place. One is the busy population. Some people do not like all the people, but I tend to love it. There is always something going on in this busy city. You will never ...Read More find yourself bored with nothing to do. The highway is one of the things I absolutely despise around here. Many people take the subway instead of having to drive through the horrible traffic. There is always traffic because New York is filled with so many people. This problem will not affect you if you do not own a car. Historical buildings can be found throughout New York. You could spend days simply exploring through all of the historical sights.

I currently stay in the little neighborhood of Little Neck. I like it here for many reasons. There is a pretty nice golf course located right around the corner. I like to go out there on my days off. Another cool thing is the bay. The Little Neck bay is a beautiful sight with plenty of nature scenery. You will find yourself escaping your home to feed the local ducks. Another thing I really likes was the convenience of hospitals and school. The local St. Mary's hospital is located right around the corner. This is a big stress reliever if you have children. Most parents want to know where and how to get to the closest hospital. Queensborough community college is also located rather close. This is a great school to make some progress in your life. Many people attend this accredited college. I personally go there and enjoy it very much. The neighborhood itself is rather nice. There is flowers planted and extensive landscaping done. The people who live in the neighborhood are all rather nice. I have yet to run into a rude neighbor.

This is just a little bit about the area I live in. If you are interested in making a big move, keep this place in mind. You will be glad you gave it a chance! Read Less
