I've even traveled to this city by train along the Metro North New Haven Line, as I was coming from midtown Manhattan, which was only about 25 miles. I loved the downtown area of New Rochelle, which is full of great dining options. Along the historic Huguenot Street and Main Street, I indulged myself with everything from pizzas and sandwiches to Mexican tacos and fine steak. There were plenty of other restaurants, bistros, and bars that made it on my list of places to visit on my next trip to New Rochelle.

Of course, no trip to New Rochelle was complete without visiting the New Roc City. I skipped this center's restaurants and shops, and went directly into the Regal Cinemas to catch a movie. From couples and teens to families with kids, this multi purpose complex was packed with crowds. Now that's the way to spend an evening in the city of New Rochelle. Read Less
