The city is relatively safe thanks to a well-trained and fair police force, however the city has seen a recent slight rise in crime due to unknown circum ...Read More stances. The housing market within New Philadelphia remains fair with average home prices and reasonable property taxes.

Shopping, dining and nightlife in New Philadelphia does leave something to be desired, as there are not many options. The options available in the city are franchises with a serious lack of uniqueness that brings a certain level of vibrancy to a city and can make a small town more pleasant and inviting. The community in New Philadelphia, however, is strong. The people of this city pride themselves on family values and having a sense of community and fellowship amongst the residents.
