- Lots of parks and schools
- Friendly neighbors
- Home to Stanley Black & Decker
- Close to other nice neighborhoods like Farmington and West Hartford
- Very walkable/bikable
- Area is mostly pretty quiet
- Cost of living is low
- Home to CCSU

New Britain looks like the type of city you would see in a Norman Rockwell painting. Surround by soft rolling hills and thick ...Read More forests, New Britain is filled with red brick buildings and quaint homes. Even with a population of about 90,000 New Britain still looks and feels like a charming little city from the past. A large percentage of the city's residents are European, mostly from Poland which gives the city a unique feel. In the summer an extravagant Polish festival is held with delicious foods and traditional Polish music. It's a great event to see, and experience part of the Polish community in Connecticut.

New Britain is filled with history too. Once known as the "hardware" capital of America, the city was once home to the Stanley Tool company, along with several other large manufactures. New Britain has always been a center of innovation as well, giving birth to the idea of 'dribbling' in basketball as well as claiming invention of the wire coat hanger! Filled with eccentricity and surround with beautiful landscapes New Britain might just be the place to call home. Read Less
