New Berlin, Wi; A great place to plant roots. User Rating 4 rating By Anonymous ( Apr 26, 2018) A couple years back I was house hunting around the outskirts of Milwaukee. Some of the houses were located in New Berlin. I must say i loved the area! The community seemed buzzing and electric. People grilling out, kids mowing lawns, construction of a new subdivision, and a parad ...Read More e was scheduled for that weekend. Found out later that the new subdivision will be one that runs entirely on renewable resources.

For a community planted in between Madison and Milwaukee, New Berlin felt like a good community to raise a family and commute to either of those cities for career (I commuted to Milwaukee). The community was clean and the local park (Malone Park) was beyond awesome, my daughter loved playing there. There were posting at the park for events such as 5k walks, bake sales, group clean ups for a cause, and other community pride and improvement events hosted by non-profits and involved citizens alike.

New Berlin had the typical food chains such as Culver’s, Qdoba, Rocky Rococo and Jimmy Johns. It is also home to a few amazing eateries. Sunny Side up is the place you want to go for breakfast and coffee. The Peachtree for lunch. Firewise Barbecue is a definite must visit, it is delicious. I ended up going back to Firewise a second time and was not disappointed. Also went to MOD Pizza for lunch while there, for a franchise it was like the other MOD locations but what sets this one apart is how excellent the customer service was. Read Less
