Mission Bend: An Affordable City by Houston User Rating 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 14, 2018) I lived in Mission Bend temporarily due to work. Overall, it was an alright city but it felt lacking in a few ways. One of the things I did like about Mission Bend was that it was easy enough to afford an apartment because not only are the apartments cheap, but the jobs pay well ...Read More enough for the area. If you're looking for a decent full-time job or a couple part-time jobs, you probably won't have to look too long.

As far as entertainment goes, that's where Mission Bend could use a little improvement. There are enough basic grocery stores around but if you want to hit up a mall or shopping center, you won't have much luck. The selection of restaurants and bars was alright too, but nothing special. If I had to say what the best area of Mission Bend is, I'd probably go with McClendon Park. It's a relaxing place to get some fresh air or to enjoy a good book. Read Less
