Meriden - Centrally Located But Not Much To See User Rating 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( Jul 21, 2011) The company I work for opened a new store in the Chamberlin plaza here and I was nominated to go for the opening to oversee. I was excited about going to Connecticut because I have never been. I stayed in the Hampton Inn and found my stay to be pleasant and my room clean.

After my grand opening I did head over to the Giuffrida Park and hiked a few trails for fun and relaxation. The air seems to be crisp and the humidity low in this area. I enjoyed the sites and nature on my hike.

I usually don't do upscale dinning alone, but this time I made an exception. One of the locals raved about the Sans Souci and boy were they right. The prices are high so I would save it for a special occasion but the food was dynamite.

While my stay here was short, Meriden didn't have much to offer for me. I found the people here to be different than what I am accustomed to. People are more private than and not as friendly as I found in my home state. While it was a great place to visit, I wont be returning anytime soon but it was great to visit Connecticut.
