Lots to do, so much fun! User Rating 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 14, 2018) Living in Melrose is great as long as you don't mind the cooler temperatures and rain. There are a ton of amenities in the area and we do have public transit if you need it. We have coffee shops, shopping, grocery stores, restaurants, parks, etc all really close by. We do have so ...Read More me libraries, but there are fewer, so I would recommend a bookstore instead.

We have a lot of schools for the area, but I wouldn't say they're all that great. We have a mix of private schools and public schools, but none of them really stand out. The cost of living is also slightly higher, but that's expected for a busy city like Melrose. The crime is low here despite it being a busier city and I would say the job market is okay.

The weather kind of changes day to day, but the summers are usually very cool aside from some heat in July. It can get very cold here, though so that's something to consider. Read Less
