Lancaster, NY: A Slice of Real New York Life User Rating 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 28, 2018) You've got to hand it to Lancaster New York. Even with a less-than-impressive crime rate and a slumping job market, this place still manages to be a pretty decent place to call home. I have been a resident of Lancaster for 17 years now and even with its flaws I still consider it ...Read More one of the best areas in New York. No place is perfect, but the people here rally together and keep our community upbeat, clean, respectable, and welcoming. Our schools are a shining example of what an educational system should be. Our graduation rates are decent, and our dropout rate is low. I raised my family here, they are raising their families here, and we are all happy here.


There are some pretty awesome things to do in and around Lancaster for fun. We have Fly Buffalo New York aerial tours and flight instructions, Food Truck Tuesdays at Larkin Square, Walden Pond Park, the Lancaster Opera House, and any number of bars and restaurants where you can throw back a few cold ones with friends and enjoy a great meal.

Bottom line: if you're looking for perfection it ain't in Lancaster. But a good, quiet life with great people is. Read Less
