Was happy to move away User Rating 2 rating By Anonymous ( Mar 01, 2026) Lived there for 7 years to take care of an aging parent. Purchased an old house and did a lot of renovations, the house became a show place.
Traffic was bad, due to trucks, but couldn't get any help from the city or the county to help. People walking to and from the city square
...Read More (about 4 blocks away) always pitched trash and cigarette butts in the yard. Drug problem was (still is) bad. The apt complex just up from our house was always having police cars doing drug busts. The nicer people lived further from this area, and most did not shop in Kenton, but drove to Lima, Findlay, Marion, or Bellefontaine. The downtown area was almost a ghost town. The county courthouse was there, but most businesses never lasted more than a couple of years before closing. New people would move in, but left within a couple years as well. Kenton lives in the past and still think things are great because that's al they talk about... the past. We've been back once for a funeral and was so thankful we no longer lived there. Read Less

The houses here are beautiful. Crime is non existent and schools are top notch. But it does have downsides. The economy here is terrible and there’s nothing to do her ...Read More e and no nightlife. This town is not for everyone. It has a small town feel. I also love how it’s near major highways like U.S 30 and U.S 68. And OH-31 that goes to Columbus. I rank my city high! Read Less
