Jeffersonville, IN is a beautiful and exciting place to live. Having lived there myself I can give a great and accurate review as to what it would be like to live in Jeffersonville. four years ago I moved from Jeffersonville to New York. I must say that I still miss Jeffersonvill ...Read More
e very much. Although it was a great place to live in, I will admit that it does have a downside.
Every morning I would wake up and walk my kids the five minutes it would take to their school. I would continue my daily routine with a trip to the local bakery and purchase a croissant and an excellent cup of coffee. I loved the feel of community where I lived. Everything was within a mile of walking or driving. I could walk to the park with my kids, go to a restaurant, walk to my kid's school, as well as walk to a shopping center.
Although living in Jeffersonville had many benefits, there were also many downsides. The crime rates where I used to live were not ideal. My family and I took the precaution of installing a alarm system because of the regular reports of theft as well as other crimes. I felt safe in my home at night but only after activating the system as well as locking all the doors.
Another downside was the high level of poverty that was seen in Jeffersonville. Fortunately my family and I lived in a more affluent part of town, however I wish my kids didn't have to see the troubles of having a 12 percent unemployment rate. This I think will change when people start to realize that Jeffersonville is a beautiful place to live with lots of opportunity.
