Never a dull moment in Hickory Hills, IL! User Rating 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) I have lived in Hickory Hills, IL my whole life. For those with families or starting a family, you will be very pleased with the public school system here. I have enjoyed growing up here and the relationships within schools that I formed. The city is very safe with a wide variety ...Read More of events and social gatherings in the park district. There are plenty of events for every age group. You never have to worry about not finding a park around town because there are several to choose from!

There is an abundance of affordable housing with decent space between them. I understand how close together houses are a turn off for many people. Although, the property taxes are on the expensive side of things; there are many public services offered by the community.

Aside from being quiet within the neighborhoods, Hickory Hills is close to downtown of Chicago where the food is amazing! The best places in Hickory Hills are around Harlem Ave and S. Roberts Rd where you can find bars, dining, and shopping close together. Read Less
