Really enjoyable place that has unfortunately become hard to afford User Rating 4 rating By Anonymous ( Feb 25, 2025) Hendersonville's great and offers numerous things to do considering the size. It's safe and most people are friendly. Downtown is AWESOME and has a lot of great restaurants and shops. Things do tend to close early, though. The place is definitely shut down by 10 PM for the most p ...Read More art. There are actually decent job opportunities in the area, driving here just sucks. The layout of the town is just weird. The community college is beautiful, some of the staff aren't the most helpful but they offer some decent programs. I miss living and working here! Unfortunately the price of housing there has gone up incredibly, which goes for all of WNC. It makes it so hard to live there. As someone who was born and raised in WNC, I cannot afford it. So many upper-class people are moving here because it's "cute" and ruining it for natives. Do us Carolinians a favor and just visit, please. Read Less
Living Life In Hendersonville, NC User Rating 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) Here in Hendersonville, life isn't too bad at all. I love it here, I mean you have some of the best selections of eateries, along with places like Team ECCO Aquarium which can be found in the downtown area.

Education is commendable, with graduation rates rivaling the state average. Cost of living is very fair, and although home prices are a bit higher than other places I've lived here in NC, work is steady here and I love summers down here in the south. Keep in mind that this is North Carolina, so not only is it plenty to do here in Hendersonville, there is much to do statewide! Read Less
