Goldsboro, A Charming And Growing Downtown Display 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 14, 2018) It's a relaxing city of jazz with the charm of Southern comfort--and I don't mean the drink, but that's perfectly fine for a night of Bebop in Goldsboro.

Goldsboro, NC is a growling little town that has figured out modernization a lot better than other southern towns. It has all ...Read More the looks of an old timey downtown that you'd expect to see on the Andy Griffith show, but they're not letting downtown fall to pieces. The best part of Goldsboro is the downtown area, and it's proof that the city can turn things around.

Their investment in the downtown area is gorgeous. My only criticism would be the need to do more and expand that growth, and take lessons from other successful small towns. Get some factories outside of the city, help your poor move up a bit.

A lot of people talk about the need for affordable housing, and while I agree, I think it's a battle between affordable housing and small businesses that doesn't need to be fought. Fix box middle areas with a business that needs a lot of employees and bring an industrial--yet neat--burst of business to a beautiful town to help it become a charming city.

This is a great time to make living in Goldsboro, NC a perfect idea for people who want to make North Carolina, the South, and America in general a better place with a booming, local economy. Read Less
