Glassmanor, MD is Perking Up Again 3 rating By Anonymous ( May 10, 2018) At one time, Glassmanor, MD was one of the urban outskirts of Washington, DC that seemed to be forgotten. Development was almost non-existent and the existing buildings were deteriorating. That was before the tourist crowd was lured into the National Harbor location just ten minu ...Read More tes away. Now, with more residents of Glassmanor, MD working at National Harbor, the town is seeing an influx of new residents.

The new residents in Glassmanor are taking great pride in rebuilding their neighborhoods and keeping them safe. Unlike some other neighboring areas of Washington, DC, Glassmanor has a very low crime and drug rate. Children play outdoors frequently and can travel between local neighborhoods safely.

The restaurant and nightlife scene isn't quite like DC, but it's a welcome break. Both types of businesses tend to be small and local, with local residents owning and operating the businesses themselves. It's not the fanciest of communities, but renewal and growth is alike and well in Glassmanor, MD. Read Less
