Gibsonton, FL Has Good Weather - And That's It! 2.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) Even the best areas in Gibsonton, Florida aren't good enough to recommend living here. I've been living in Gibsonton for about 8 years now and this place has just consistently gotten worse over time. The crime rate is higher than any place I have ever lived and it's getting worse ...Read More all the time. There are no jobs so there's a lot of unemployment. The schools have a really high dropout rate and they don't rank very well in state testing percentiles. The weather is good, as you would pretty much expect in Florida, and that's about it.

As for entertainment or things to do we have the Manatee Viewing center at nearby Apollo Beach. It's a pretty neat place, with a cool gift shop and museum. There's Croc Encounters which is cool because you get to interact with real crocodiles and learn about them. My personal favorite spot is The Alley At Southshore Arcades and Restaurant where there's lots of good food and great games to play. Read Less
