Gages Lake Offers Calm, Cool and Quiet 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) I have found living in Gages Lake to be a relatively quiet suburb not too far from an amusement park, a mall and Chicago. Gages Lake has a population of about 11,000 residents. It is considered a township in Lake County. Condos or lakefront cottages are more permanent places of residence.

Housing prices, unemployment and high school graduation rates are generally more favorable compared to those of the state overall. The best areas for shopping in Gages Lake are in nearby Gurney. Our winters are harsh as is much of the Midwest. However, I like our summer temperatures, which range near 70 degrees F.
