Franklin, Wi. Concrete jungle with historic roots User Rating 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( Apr 26, 2018) A couple years back i was house hunting in the areas just outside of Milwaukee. I work there and wanted a place out of the city to raise a family but close enough to commute. There was an open house that my realtor insisted i go to in the town of Franklin. The community has so ma ...Read More ny stores to shop at. Some are the normal Menards, Target, Pick n’ Save, Home depot, and Lowes. There were also small businesses that have unique products and services.

Franklin is 15 minutes from Milwaukee Wi and you can tell from the amount of manufacturing and production businesses within franklin. Franklin does have some great sights to see though. The Franklin parks were stark opposites of the concrete jungle of most of the city. They offered a great get away, especially since I was there on business. A lot of the community must feel the same because the park was busy, since it was large enough it did not impact the visit to the park.Franklin also offers a unique walk through history. The Franklin Historical Society has standing building you can visit and tour that were originally from around 1900. I found the tour interesting but my daughter found it rather boring. Read Less
