Floral Park and a Neat Commuter Town 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) Floral Park is a neat little town that pulls in elements of both the Long Island and Queens areas that is surrounded by. It is a great town to live in with the deal of Long Island but the convenience of Queens.

Floral Park has its own train station but it doesn’t connect dir ...Read More ectly with Penn Station and needs to be routed through Jamaica. The blocks are named after different flowers, as you can imagine, and the town is well maintained and has its own police force, which adds to its safety.

There are great restaurants on Mian Street and Jericho Turnpike and convenient for nearby shopping. The shopping helps to offfset some of the property tax cost of its own police force and it is a nice and safe place for a family with great schools and convenient shopping.

While floral Park doesn’t have an extensive nightlife area, it does have some nice pubs and outdoor spots for drinks by the train station. Floral Park is a great spot for families and for commuters into Manhattan. Read Less
