I remember days at the local coffee shop on Township Boulevard. Knowing what I know now, I would have spent more time up at Onondaga Lake during my summers. Today Fairmount is a pretty popular place for shopping among other things. I think that the downtown area has been increasing in size for some time now, with many new stores popping up every time that I visit. I know that crime was a bit of an issue, so hopefully they can resolve that soon.

I know that the main focus of parents is education and safety of the children, and I must say that the schools here are outstanding. Cost of living is actually calculated to be lower than the state, so check it out for yourself and see what Fairmount is really all about. Read Less
